Ohio’s 12-year Rebuilding Ohio Schools Program provides state matching dollars to modernize local schools. This report provides an overview of school building projects in Ohio and describes several school-community partnerships planned for Ohio’s largest districts.

As the result of Columbus’s 2002 facilities bond issue, more than 17,000 students will attend nearly 40 modernized Columbus school buildings by 2009. Ohio’s eight largest districts enroll approximately 16% of Ohio’s students and operate nearly 500 school buildings.
