As a current school-board member, a retired teacher and private citizen, I find Gov. Ted Strickland’s break-the-bank education plan absolutely shocking (“Schools plan gets vote of support,” Dispatch article, Friday).
He wants to phase in a 20-day increase in the school year. This will add 12 percent in employee costs to the local board.
