A USA Today story yesterday said that school districts in other states – Arizona, California, Florida, Kansas – are cutting class time to save money.
Shorter school weeks, shorter school years and staggering start times are all on the table in an effort to thwart the economic woes. But not here. The Ohio Department of Education says that the state is on track to give kids more time in school, not less, despite the economy.
Also, it would take a legislative change to allow four-day school weeks. No one seems to be pushing for that just yet.
