2008 Preliminary Graduation Rates for Ohio’s Urban 8 Districts

The Ohio Department of Education recently provided preliminary 2008 graduation rates to Ohio’s public school districts. Columbus City Schools posted its highest graduation rate on record–74%, up from 71% one year prior. Among Ohio’s seven other large urban districts, graduation rates ranged from 54% in Cleveland to 87% in Toledo. (Note that school districts can contest these preliminary graduation rates before they are finalized for this year’s annual state report cards.)
